Destruction and Creation go Hand in Hand.

Within me - and all human beings- is an intrinsic desire to Create, whether its drawing, painting, writing, rhyming, sewing, weaving, building, dancing, moving or breathing, something, any-thing into existence with our unique life force, prana, hearts and hands.

My personal journey with creativity has been a looong challenging one- which took a turn in 2019- when I decided to get serious about my writing by enrolling in a short course which forced us to not overthink the work of getting words on the page, but just to feel the 'Urge' to write and pour it out onto paper, in much the same way as morning pages used as a tool to unblock the creative self in the iconic Artists Way by Julie Cameron.

This helped me loads to do the work and share it with peers for feedback, I still remember the deep fear of judgement, anxiety and Excitement I felt when I pressed "PUBLISH" on my first article on their website. Maybe as thrilling as jumping out of a plane, as you know you'll never be the same again, as once your words and work are out there in the world to be read and "consumed".

What surprised me was the response; the feedback and comments on that first blog of mine, which actually fed a hunger in me that I didn’t even know that I had. So I kept writing and creating...

Now I still feel and feed the hunger with my words - as the world needs my (and your) words of the lens I perceive through; to describe joy, beauty, grace, power and pain of this reality I experience, as ultimately we all feel and have similar shared experiences of the human condition.

The exalted, higher self version of me that I see comes through when I write, this is present in every single one of us - through whatever form of creativity bring you teh highest excitement, indeed when you follow the excitement that is where the joy and bliss exist. SO when you feel the Urge to do that thing- upcycle that skirt, take those photos, draw that landscape, paint your front door - DO it! This Urge is the creative life force or prana energy that we have come here for to learn to utilise..

Yes I feel the despair that's in the air,  o feel it on my bones, this sense of FUCK IT, why should I create when the world is being Destroyed before our very eyes. Whats the point when it could be erased and destroyed? Why would I bother?
I hear and feel it too, so so viscerally- most mornings now I struggle and wrestle with the Bear of Despair - sometimes he wins, sometimes I win..

Movement helps immensely to shift the stuck stuff, the thick emotions through and out of my body so I can feel lighter and better.

But if you're like me and you question everything - you'll see that Creation and Destruction have always held hands, and are probably more like lovers than polar enemies.

The best artists truly know this and use the pain they feel to alchemise through their life force to move through the low frequency feelings to create something magnificent .When we use the pain, sorrow, despair and FUCK it feelings as the Fuel to create- rather than the reasons not to - we ultimately transmute that pain into power and maybe even pleasure.

“Your Pain is your Purpose…” something I heard from Sean Corne - a famous yogi,- I thought it just sounded good, but now I see that this is what we all came here for...

To transcend the duality of sadness and joy, pleasure and pain, grief and love , destruction and creation to move to something higher - a 3rd way- or as the Buddhist call it The Middle path - where we do not prefer either states of duality as the wholeness is found in both.

When you look at the world right now, you can see that through the darkness - which there is a hell of a lot of- there comes the light. The Shiva and Shakti together. Whether you're looking through an environmental, religious, medical, spiritual, mental lens or if your filters are strongly attuned to the lens of Oppression -racism, classism and sexism - it's obvious that there is deep suffering and a sense of Destruction. Or as the Astrologer Pam Gregory puts it so well - “We are living in a Demolition site...”

This is evident in the latest case of dirty hypocrisy of American politics right now, with the murder of United Healthcare CEO Brian Thompson- head of an insurance company that rejects 33% of their customers claims, resulting in an average of 68,000 deaths if average Americans yearly - sanitised murder for profits. His murder has been cheered on and laughed at by close to 35, 000 average Americans on twitter until United Healthcare felt the need to take down the tweet, which had been announcing his death.

The reason I bring up this topic is because we need to break down Destruction to understand it - Violence is a key element of Destruction - and there is no other more Violent nation in the world than America - they utilise it very regularly, but it seems that only world leaders, multinational and CEO's are allowed to inflict violence daily and regularly, but then when it's mirrored back onto them - through this death by Luigi, it is condemned as if Non-Violence is actually one of their upheld societal values.

So Americas’ elites are having a navel-gazing freak-out moment right now as they fear that this may become a new wave or "pattern" of violence - killing CEO's who profit over people - CEO’S whose actual business model is to profit over our demise, destruction and death.

I kind of hope that America's systems of Inequality and this obvious classist elitism self- implodes, so it can stop exploding it's power and poisonous systems of 'Freedom and Democracy'  all over the world. I don’t want any more deaths and murder IS wrong, but by Americas own gun laws and standards, only Violence can counteract Violence and when they start to implode and break down their own civilisation, then possibly the rest of the world can experience some peace and start to be free...

The main systems and institutions that need to be dismantled and destroyed are Big pharma, education, and their toxic entertainment industry of Hollywood along with all of the ISM'S of classism, racism, sexism and ableism, that are weaved into and actually Operate these shitty system. 

Ask yourself without these Operating systems, would these layers of oppression and -Isms even exist?

Globally we see now that these very institutions’ Operating Systems ALL prioritise Profits over people, with violence at it’s core. How is that Sustainable? Where is the Justice? What about Love instead of Violence at the core?

As more and more Americans unite - Democrats and Republicans to see that this is actually a class war, then maybe through some level of Unity consciousness happening now, power can return to the people.

Now more than ever, we need the dreamers, the weavers, the artists, the builders, the warriors, the weirdos, the misfits, the empaths and the soul -centred folk who dare to dream and create through these times - to start to envision and build a more beautiful, balanced and just world, that puts life and love first over death.

There are currently no new models or systems that I'm aware of that could replace this Capitalistic system rooted in Colonialism. Perhaps bits and pieces of socialism and anarchy, or perhaps maybe returning to the old timeless wisdom of the Indigenous people of the lands, the ones that we were taught to believe were the brutes, savages, violent and primitive ones. We need their wisdom, ideas and systems returned and rebuilt right now, or at least to try?

The creation of new ways and days and infinite possibilities of living in harmony with nature and the laws of nature, is what takes me out of despair and leaves me with hope.

Sure the myth of progress that Colonisation brought was ok while it lasted, though now we see how a select few greedy forceful brutes at the top, want more and more land, more and more resources, more and more money AND is willing to kill us all - from the Western world to this sacred land of Africa  for these gains. We can all see now that the patterns of Destruction that has been our model of HIS-story - the copy and paste template of Colonialism and Capitalism that has been imposed globally, has got to go.

Time for change is here and NOW, we need the artists and dreamers to keep creating, to remain higher in Eagle-mode, not mouse-mode chasing root chakra needs - we need to collectively organise and create communities of care together, aligned with shared values so that we can keep holding each other through the downward spiral of destruction that is happening right now, so we can compost old beliefs and start creating anew through these times. Not just when it’s ALL over.

Contrary to Hollywood's years of Apocalyptic movies priming us for this ONE final event of Death and Destruction - which is just another sensationalist lie.  Destruction is EVERYWHERE and we're living through it right NOW, especially here in the Middle East - America’s favourite playground and theatre for Destruction.

Remember that Creation and Destruction are the oldest of friends, lovers even - Shiva and Shakti together.
